Learning Support Programme (LSP)
Learning Support Coordinator (LSC) – Mrs Samad
This is a specialized early intervention programme. It aims to provide learning support to pupils who enter Primary 1 with weak English Language and literacy skills.
Objective:
To provide support to Primary One and Two pupils by equipping them with basic literacy skills so that they could access learning in the regular cassroom.
Level : Primary One and Two pupils
Group Size : 8 to 10 pupils
Frequency : Primary 1: 30 minutes every day during curriculum time
Primary 2: 1 hour twice a week before school

Buddy Reading Programme
It is a programme where good readers (Buddy Tutors) will read to/with weak readers (Buddy Tutees) for 30 minutes three times a week. This programme provides opportunities for weak readers to practise reading aloud regularly under the watchful eyes of their buddies and Teacher-in-charge, Mrs Samad.This year, Buddy Tutors are selected from the same class as the Buddy Tutees. They will report to the LSP room before assembly for the session. Training is provided for all tutors to equip them with the appropriate skills to help their partners become competent and confident readers.
